A signature Adventures card. The first step toward Champion. Cost 2 cantrip (+1 card +1 action) plus exchange progression — minimal cost commitment with massive late-game payoff via Champion.
Biggest strength: "$2 cantrip + exchange chain." Such low cost and the chain to Champion make Page nearly always worth buying 2x early.
Community consensus: top-5 in Adventures, the most critical piece for Champion. Tier S.
How to Play
Early (T1-2): On any 2-coin slot. Two copies if 4/3 or 5/2 split allows.
Mid-early: Play Page each turn. Choose to exchange to Treasure Hunter when discarded — usually do exchange to advance.
Treasure Hunter ($3) gains Silvers. Move forward fast.
Traveller Exchange Timing
Only when discarded. Cleanup phase is normal discard, so every turn offers a window.
Skipping exchange delays Champion. Default: exchange every turn.
Throne effects creating multiple plays = multiple exchange windows that turn.
Key Combos
Page + Teacher: Teacher's +1 Action / +$1 tokens supercharge Page.
Page + King's Court: TR-Page = +2 cards / +2 actions, one exchange window on discard.
Page + Inn: Inn shuffles Travellers back for re-draws.
Synergies
- Teacher: token boost.
- King's Court: draw boost.
- Inn: recycling.
- Remodel: Treasure Hunter into other $3.
- Chapel: thinning helps Page draws.
Counters & Bad Matchups
- Short games: end before Champion arrives.
- Heavy attacks: Page-less turns stall progression.
- Strong existing villages: Page not needed.
Advanced Tips
Exchange only on discard. Durations / "stays in play" cards skip exchange.
Two Pages near-mandatory. Third is excess.
Mind the chain: Treasure Hunter → Warrior → Hero → Champion. Each step has trade-offs but always advance.
Don't stop at Hero: even though Hero is strong, exchange to Champion.
If Teacher is in supply, Page + Teacher combo doubles damage.
