ハイブリッドオーブサイクルビルド

Defect Hybrid Orb Cycle Build

Overview

The Hybrid Orb Cycle build maintains a rotating mix of Lightning, Frost, and Plasma Orbs, using fast cycling cards to Evoke and re-channel repeatedly each turn. Rather than specializing in one Orb type, this build extracts value from all three: Lightning Orbs deal passive and Evoke damage, Frost Orbs generate Block, and Plasma Orbs produce extra Energy to fund more cycling. Focus investment amplifies all three types simultaneously, making this the most versatile and adaptable Defect build.

Key Cards

  • Rainbow: Channels 1 Lightning, 1 Frost, and 1 Dark in one card — the fastest way to populate all Orb slots with diverse types. Take multiple copies early.
  • Dualcast: Evoke your rightmost Orb twice — chains well with Lightning for double burst damage or Frost for double Block.
  • Multi-Cast: Evoke your rightmost Orb X times — a flexible finisher that scales with available Energy.
  • Defragment: Gain 1 Focus — the single card that improves Lightning damage, Frost Block, and Plasma Energy generation simultaneously.
  • Loop: Trigger rightmost Orb passive at turn start — free extra output every turn without spending Energy or a card play.
  • Coolheaded: Channel 1 Frost and draw 1 card — efficient defensive cycling that also refills the hand.
  • Glacier: Gain 6 Block and channel 2 Frost — combines immediate defense with Orb slot filling.
  • Zap: Channel 1 Lightning — cheap, flexible offensive Orb generation.
  • Fusion: Channel 1 Plasma — adds Energy generation to the rotation for later-turn card flooding.
  • Capacitor: Gain 2 Orb Slots — more slots let you hold all three Orb types simultaneously for maximum passive output.

Key Relics

  • Gold-Plated Cables: Rightmost Orb passive triggers an additional time — position Lightning in the rightmost slot for double passive damage, or Frost for double Block.
  • Data Disk: Start each combat with 1 Focus — amplifies all three Orb types from turn 1.
  • Emotion Chip: All Orb passives trigger at turn start when you took damage last turn — burst of Lightning damage, Frost Block, and Plasma Energy simultaneously.
  • Infused Core: Start each combat with 3 Lightning channeled — free offensive presence without using Orb slots for your own channels.

Strategy

  1. Early turns: fill Orb slots with diverse types using Rainbow and Glacier — aim for at least 1 Lightning, 1 Frost, and 1 Plasma by turn 3.
  2. Use Loop to get free passive triggers on whichever Orb type is most needed (position Lightning for damage, Frost for defense).
  3. Invest in Focus via Defragment once your Orb slots are populated — each point benefits all active Orb types.
  4. Cycle aggressively with Dualcast on Lightning when you need burst, or on Frost when incoming damage is high.
  5. Use Plasma Orb Energy income to fund Multi-Cast finishers in the same turn you generate Orbs.
  6. Adjust Orb composition mid-combat based on enemy type: more Frost against high-attack enemies, more Lightning against multi-enemy groups.

Pick Priority

  • Must pick: Defragment, Rainbow, Capacitor
  • High priority: Dualcast, Loop, Glacier, Coolheaded, Fusion
  • Situational: Multi-Cast (great with Plasma income), Echo Form (doubles first card — excellent with Rainbow)
  • Skip: Cards that lock into a single Orb type and disrupt the hybrid balance (e.g., Darkness-heavy package without plan)

Tips

  • Slot order matters: place the Orb type you want to Evoke or Loop in the rightmost slot. Reorganize by channeling in a specific sequence each turn.
  • Gold-Plated Cables with Loop on Lightning is effectively 2 free Lightning passive triggers per turn — strong passive damage without card plays.
  • Plasma Orbs in the rightmost slot with Loop generate free Energy every turn, compounding into massive Energy surpluses by mid-Act.
  • Against single-target bosses, shift composition toward Lightning and Dark rather than Frost — offense wins faster.
  • This build is the best at adapting when key cards are not offered — any Orb-type cards still fit, making it a reliable fallback strategy.
