Applies Freeze status to enemies hit by the socketed card. Frozen enemies stop moving for a duration, making them easier to hit and concentrate fire on.

• Type: Status Effect Gem (Freeze)
• Stacking: Freeze stacks extend the duration before thawing

• AoE cards (Whip, Bone): Freeze multiple enemies simultaneously to control the field
• High-Amount projectile cards: Many projectiles ensure reliable Freeze application
• Cards dealing with dense crowds: Stop the horde, then eliminate at leisure

• Damage gems (Double Damage, Triple Damage): Freeze enemies first, then burst them while stationary
• Amount Gem: More projectiles = more reliable Freeze coverage
• Combo builds: Use freeze to buy time for combo accumulation

Less immediately powerful than direct damage gems, but the crowd control significantly improves hit rates and survival in high-density waves. Useful for survivability-focused builds.
