Creative AI Build

Build Overview

Once Creative AI is set up, a random Power is added to your hand at the start of every turn. The build takes advantage of this by playing Powers every turn, repeatedly triggering Storm (channels Lightning whenever you play a Power), and dominating the fight through the synergy of various Powers. After setup, a completely free Power arrives each turn, so the longer a fight drags on, the more overwhelming the advantage becomes. Cost 3 is a heavy opening tax, but combining it with Plasma or relics like Mummified Hand helps you deploy even in the early game.

Tier Rating: A

Reason: The build has a scaling identity where the longer a fight goes the stronger it gets, and sustain in boss fights is especially high. More Powers each turn mean more emergent synergies and a deck that grows on its own. The cost-3 initial install is heavy, however, so early fights can end before you deploy it. The payoff after installation is enormous, and when piloted well it nearly reaches S-tier performance.

Key Cards (Essential)

  • Creative AI: A cost-3 Power that keeps adding a random Power to your hand at the start of every turn. The absolute core of the build. One install keeps Powers flowing for the rest of the fight
  • Storm: A cost-1 Power. Channels 1 Lightning whenever you play a Power. Combined with Creative AI, Lightning stacks up every time you play the extra Power each turn
  • Defragment: Focus +1 to +2. Improves the damage of the Lightning channeled by Storm, and enhances other Powers across the board
  • Machine Learning: Draws 1 additional card at the start of each turn. Makes it easier to actually use the Powers Creative AI hands you

Flex Cards to Consider

  • Loop: At the start of each turn, triggers the rightmost Orb's passive an extra time. With Lightning on the right end, that is two passive procs of bonus damage per turn
  • Tesla Coil: Cost 0, damage + immediately fires every Lightning passive. Fires off the Lightning stacked by Storm in one shot
  • Thunder (Power): Every Evoke of Lightning deals extra damage to all enemies. Raises Lightning-Evoke damage output when combined with Storm
  • Amplify: The next Power is played twice. Using Creative AI after Amplify leaves you with a state where two Powers arrive each turn
  • Echo Form: The first card played each turn is resolved twice. Fires Creative AI or other key cards twice
  • White Noise: Cost 1, adds a Power to your hand and plays it. A way to supplement Powers before Creative AI is installed
  • Rebound: Channels Lightning equal to the total Lightning channeled this fight (cost 3). After Storm has generated lots of Lightning this explodes in count, but at cost 3 you want to pair it with Plasma or Double Energy
  • Multi-Cast: Use Plasma-fueled Energy to maximize X and Evoke a wave of Lightning

Synergistic Relics

  • Mummified Hand: Whenever you play a Power, a random card in your hand becomes free. With Creative AI feeding you a Power every turn, another card is made free each time, greatly speeding up your deployment
  • Pawn: Draws 1 card each time you play a Power. In a build spamming Powers every turn your hand rarely runs dry, and the drawn card can be played to chain explosive turns
  • Lost Wisp: Deals 8 damage to all enemies whenever you play a Power. Playing the Powers Creative AI adds every turn lets you deal continuous damage, combining with Storm's Lightning for a double offense
  • Frozen Egg: Every Power added to your deck is upgraded. Boosts the quality of the random Powers Creative AI adds, increasing the chance you see upgraded Defragment or Loop
  • Data Disk: Focus +1 at battle start. Raises the passive damage from Storm's Lightning, so Orb effects feel practical from the first turn
  • Lee's Waffle (Long-Lasting Candy): Every other battle rewards include a bonus Power card. Accelerates deck construction in a build that needs lots of Powers
  • Lantern: Energy +1 at battle start. Makes it easier to install cost-3 Creative AI on turn 1, starting the engine one turn earlier

Play Flow

Act 1

Creative AI itself is hard to use in early fights at cost 3. In Act 1 you adopt Storm and Defragment first and fight while supplementing Powers with White Noise. If Tesla Coil (cost 0) appears, pick it aggressively. Loop and Machine Learning are also high priority. The ideal first use of Creative AI is right before the boss after clearing an elite, or during the Act 1 boss itself. Lock it in early for Act 2 and beyond.

Act 2

The build comes online in any fight where you can install Creative AI. The install turn burns cost 3, but from the next turn onward a free Power arrives every turn. If Storm is already down, Lightning starts stacking every time you play a Power. With multiple Defragments, Lightning works at a high Focus. Adding Thunder (Power) sharply raises damage. Using Amplify to trigger Creative AI twice leaves you with two Powers per turn, an absurdly strong state.

Act 3

With Creative AI + Storm + Thunder (Power) + multiple Defragments assembled, boss fights yield stable, overwhelming damage. The random Powers that show up each turn stack synergy if they are Defragment, Machine Learning, Loop, and so on. Tesla Coil fires off all Lightning each turn while Thunder (Power) adds damage in waves. With Echo Form, Creative AI and other key Powers fire twice per turn for a near-endless ramp. Rebound is heavy at cost 3, but if you set up Energy with Plasma or Double Energy, Lightning count explodes and wins the fight.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Overwhelming scaling that grows stronger the longer the battle lasts
  • Free Powers each turn grant a pure resource advantage
  • Storm synergy automates Lightning generation, and Tesla Coil converts it into burst damage
  • Whatever Power is added, some synergy emerges, granting the build flexibility

Weaknesses

  • The cost-3 install is heavy and sometimes fails to deploy in short early fights
  • The added Powers are random, so the content of each turn varies and an optimal line is hard to lock in
  • Deck cost tends to get heavy, and Energy shortages can leave Powers unplayed
  • The build leans on specific cards like Amplify or Echo Form, and drops in value without them
