Rating

Intrigue's heavy thinner + converter. 2-trash → Silver-to-hand. Less efficient than Chapel (4-trash), but Silver-to-hand (immediate use) is the edge.

Defining trait: simultaneous "thin + economy." Estate ×2 → Silver = -1 card net + immediate +$2.

Tier B+ to A. Below Chapel/Masquerade, but cost-5 stable thin + economy. BM and engine both viable.

How to Play

Early: $5 buy. First TP = 2 Estates → Silver.

Mid: 2 Coppers → Silver (pure economy boost). Or Estate + Copper → Silver.

End: Junk × 2 → Silver for Province support.

Trash-Target Selection

"2-card trash" priority:

  1. 2 Estates: -2 VP, +1 Silver = thin + economy.
  2. 2 Coppers: Pure economy boost (2 Coppers = $2, Silver = $2; net = thinning).
  3. Estate + Copper: Hybrid.
  4. Junk Action + Estate: Terminal-overload relief.

If hand lacks 2 trashable cards, effect fizzles.

Trading Post + Masquerade: Estate-pass plus thinning.

Trading Post + Mine (Base): Silver → Gold upgrade. TP mass-Silvers, Mine upgrades.

Trading Post + Mining Village: Self-trash for +$2.

Trading Post + Festival: Economy support.

Trading Post + King's Court (Prosperity): KC + TP = 3 trashes + 3 Silvers (6 hand cards lost, 3 Silvers).

Trading Post + Bridge: Cost reduction.

Advanced Tips

"2-trash dilemma": 1 Estate + 1 Copper as only targets — trash for Silver, or hold.

Multiple TPs: 2-3 stack for ongoing thinning. Unlike Chapel, sustainable.

KC + TP: 1 KC plays TP 3x. 6 trashes + 3 Silvers. 1-turn deck overhaul.

Pre-Province TP: At $6 falling short of $8, TP for Silver-to-hand → $8.

3-pile-out: TP 10 + Estate 8 + 1 pile.

"TP vs. Chapel": Chapel = 4-trash free. TP = 2-trash + Silver. Pure thinning = Chapel; economy-balanced = TP.

Duke: TP mass-Silver + $5 frequency for Duchy/Duke.
