Crusher
Basic Info
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Act | Act 2 (Hive) |
| HP | 199 (Kaiser Crab left claw) |
| Type | Boss (part of Kaiser Crab) |
Attack Pattern
The Crusher is the left claw of Kaiser Crab, fought simultaneously with the Rocket (right claw). The player is always Surrounded, meaning attacks from behind deal 50% bonus damage — always face the arm about to hit hardest.
| Turn | Action |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 | Heavy Attack — Large single-target hit |
| Turn 2 | Attack — Medium single-target hit |
| Turn 3 | Attack x2 + Weak/Frail — Multi-hit with debuffs |
| Turn 4 | Strength gain — Self-buff increasing all future damage |
| Turn 5 | Attack + Block — Deals damage while gaining personal defense |
If either claw dies first — the surviving claw immediately gains +5 Strength and 99 Block (Enrage). This is a dangerous spike that must be planned for.
Strategy
- Kill the Rocket (right claw) first — The Rocket has lower HP (189) and deals far more burst damage through its Nuke. Eliminating it early is the standard win condition.
- Manage the Surrounded mechanic — Face the arm about to deal the larger incoming hit each turn. Rotate facing on Crusher's Turn 1 (big attack) to avoid the 50% bonus damage.
- AoE damage is your best tool — Cards and relics that hit all enemies are at maximum value here since every hit strips HP from both claws simultaneously.
- Don't waste attacks into 99 Enrage Block — The turn after one claw dies, the survivor gains 99 Block. Use that free turn to build up Block, then burst down the remaining claw.
Recommended Counters
- Prioritize AoE cards to chip both claws down in parallel
- Focus fire on the Rocket first to eliminate the biggest damage threat
- After Enrage triggers, immediately pivot to defense and prepare for Strength-boosted attacks
- Poison and damage-over-time effects bypass Block, making them effective against the Crusher's Block stacking
- Apply Weak to both claws to reduce Turn 3+ damage significantly
