Attack Pattern
The Doormaker is a cycling two-part fight that alternates between a Door phase and the true Doormaker phase. Defeating the Door summons the Doormaker itself; after it performs a few actions, it reverts to the Door. Each full cycle permanently stacks Strength onto the Doormaker.
Door Phase (HP 155)

Strategy
- Kill the Door before Turn 3 — If Empower connects, every subsequent cycle adds permanent Strength to the Doormaker. Treat every Door phase as a race to burst it down before that buff lands.
- Dump all burst into the stun turn — The Doormaker's first appearance is entirely defenseless. Potions, combo finishers, and your strongest attacks all go here without exception.
- Finish in 2–3 cycles maximum — Stacking Strength makes the Doormaker's attacks progressively more lethal. Aim to win within three Door kills, as later cycles become nearly unsurvivable.
- Debuffs reset each Door phase — Every time the fight returns to the Door, debuffs are cleared. Weak, Vulnerable, and Poison all need to be reapplied, so debuff-dependent builds face a structural disadvantage.
- Poison is the strongest sustained tool — Poison stacks persist across phases, efficiently chipping through the Doormaker's 489 HP pool over multiple cycles.
Recommended Counters
- Use all available burst damage on the Door phase to prevent Empower from landing
- Reserve potions and combo finishers specifically for the Doormaker's stun turn
- Target a 2-cycle clear before Strength escalation becomes unmanageable
- Stack Poison early — it persists across phase transitions and is ideal for the large HP pool
- Scale your damage output through Powers or Strength buffs; flat-damage decks without scaling struggle with 489 HP
