Golden Compass is Tescatara's Ancient relic that reveals every node on the map. No direct combat boost, but optimal route choice becomes possible, indirectly lifting run success rate.

Map reveal benefits include: placement of Elites, shops, rests, events, and normal combats all visible; accurate decisions on whether to dodge or actively hit Elites; shop placement known so you can plan Gold spending; event nodes' positions known so you can prep for deck-altering events.

On high Ascension especially, route misreads are fatal — map reveal's value rises considerably. Information is crucial in roguelikes; fewer unknowns mean more accurate decisions throughout the entire run.
