Bombskull Charm turns the equipped unit into a living bomb. When the unit is destroyed (killed), it explodes and deals 8 damage to all enemies in the same row. This creates a powerful death trigger that can punish enemies for landing the killing blow.

8 damage to the entire row on death is a significant swing. In a row with 2-3 enemies, this becomes 16-24 total damage from a single death event. Even against a single enemy, 8 damage upon death is non-trivial and can turn a losing battle into a kill-trade.

The strategic implication is important: enemies are disincentivized from attacking the Bombskull unit because killing it triggers the explosion. This subtle psychological pressure can redirect enemy targeting, giving your other units more time to act.

The charm is strongest on units that are specifically designed to die — fragile units with powerful debuffs or support effects that you expect to lose. Turning their death into 8 AoE damage is pure upside. It's also excellent on tanky units that will eventually go down in a long fight.

The weakness is that the charm provides no active benefit during the fight — it only triggers at death. If the unit never dies (great for survival, bad for this charm), the charm never activates.

Best on a durable front-liner or a mid-HP unit that you expect to eventually lose. The explosion softens or eliminates the enemies responsible for the kill.

Intentional sacrifice builds — units designed to die quickly for their death effect — are ideal. Combine with effects that trigger on death for layered value.
