Shade Slug duplicates the effect of whichever charm was most recently applied, to the target of Shade Slug's choice. By itself it does nothing. Used immediately after a powerful charm, it is effectively a second copy of that charm at a discount.

The premier use case is pairing with Lumin Ring. Apply Lumin Ring to a card (effect +1), then immediately apply Shade Slug to the same card (effect +1 again). The result is effect +2 total on one card, achieved with only one Lumin Ring purchased.

The same logic extends to any high-value charm. Moko Charm followed immediately by Shade Slug grants ゲキド twice in sequence. Other charms with strong effects become doubly applied.

The constraint is sequencing: Shade Slug must follow the charm you want to copy. Planning the order of charm applications in advance is essential. A misorder copies the wrong charm.

Plan charm application sequences before spending. If you have both Lumin Ring and Shade Slug, decide whether to double-apply Lumin Ring on one card or apply Lumin Ring to Card A and Shade Slug copies it to Card B.

Do not apply other charms between the target charm and Shade Slug — any intervening charm application will be copied instead.
