Rating

A-tier counter-delay debuffer. Binku applies 3 Null (also called Ink) per Counter 4 activation. Null increases the target's Counter by 3 — effectively delaying when that enemy fires their next action by 3 turns. Applied to a Counter 2 enemy, Null 3 pushes their next activation from 2 turns away to 5 turns away, giving your party 3 extra action cycles before that enemy fires. Applied to a boss at Counter 4, Null 3 converts their counter to 7 — nearly doubling the time between boss attacks.

At 2 Attack and Counter 4, Binku also deals steady direct damage alongside the Null application. The combination: direct 2-damage hit on the enemy plus 3 Counter delay on each activation. Against fast enemies (Counter 2), repeated Null applications from Binku can keep their effective counter perpetually high, preventing them from ever firing.

Stacking Null from multiple sources (Binku + Ink Totem items) compounds the delay on the highest-priority target. Against bosses with high base Attack who fire frequently, keeping Null stacked on them with Binku creates a near-permanent delay loop.

How to Use

Mid row — HP 5 is average, and Binku's value is consistent Null application per activation, which requires survival more than front-row positioning. Counter 4 fires at solid speed, keeping Null refreshed on priority targets throughout fights.

Prioritize applying Null to the fastest-counter or highest-Attack threat. A Counter 2 enemy with Null 3 effectively becomes Counter 5 — much less threatening. A Counter 3 boss with repeated Null applications from Binku's consecutive activations may never fire at all if Binku stays alive.

Counter-reduction charms on Binku accelerate Null application significantly. Counter 3 Binku applies Null more frequently, keeping enemy counters pushed back more consistently. In boss fights where the boss fires every 4 turns, Counter 3 Binku applying Null 3 every 3 turns outpaces the boss's counter recovery.

Advanced Techniques

Null + Snow double delay. Snow reduces the enemy's counter by 1 when they would otherwise reduce it; Null increases their counter. Combined: Snow slows counter decrease, Null pushes the counter back up. Against a Counter 3 boss with Snow 3 applied + Null 3 from Binku: the boss is effectively frozen from acting for multiple fight turns simultaneously.

Frenzy charms on Binku. x2 Frenzy on Binku = 6 Null per activation (two hits of Null 3 on one activation). Against a Counter 2 enemy, 6 Null in one Binku activation pushes them to Counter 8 — essentially removing that enemy from combat for the next several turns.
