Snoffel

Basic Info

  • Tribe: Common (available to all tribes)
  • Attack: 2
  • HP: 4
  • Counter: 3
  • Effect: Apply 1 Snow to all enemies

Rating

A-tier zone Snow applicator. Snoffel's effect applies 1 Snow to every enemy simultaneously — every activation he provides Snow coverage to the entire enemy board, not just the primary target. Snoof (targeted Snow 1) and Snobble (damage-scaled Snow to one target) both address single targets; Snoffel fills the gap by spreading Snow across all enemies at once. In a 3-enemy wave, Snoffel's Counter 3 activation is effectively 3 Snow applied in one action.

The zone coverage is the distinguishing feature. Wallop deals bonus damage to Snow'd targets — with Snoffel active, every enemy is automatically Snow'd before Wallop fires, meaning Wallop hits any target for 12 damage without requiring separate setup per enemy. Similarly, Yuki's Attack growth triggers from Snow on enemies; Snoffel flooding all enemies with Snow generates multiple Yuki growth opportunities per activation.

Counter 3 is fast, HP 4 is fragile. Snoffel is a support unit that needs protection. He contributes zero damage in any meaningful sense (2 Attack, Counter 3 = minor chip), but the Snow he applies across all enemies is the engine that powers Yuki, Wallop, and any other Snow-dependent card in the deck.

Available to all tribes, Snoffel is often seen as one of the best common companions in Snow-centric Snowdweller runs and occasionally drafted in other tribes for the universal counter-delay his Snow provides.

How to Use

Protect Snoffel. With 4 HP, any enemy with 3+ Attack kills him in two hits. Position him in the back row or middle row behind a front-row tank. The goal is ensuring he activates Counter 3 as many times as possible per fight.

Counter 3 means Snoffel fires before most Counter 4+ allies, setting up Snow before those allies attack. This sequencing is critical for Wallop: Snoffel's Counter 3 activation places Snow on all enemies before Wallop's Counter 4 fires, guaranteeing Wallop's bonus damage every cycle without item usage.

Lumin Ring charm (or similar effect-boost) raises Snoffel's Snow from 1 to 2 per activation. With Counter 3 pace, Snow 2 to all enemies per activation stacks rapidly — by turn 6 even the boss has 4 Snow, which is enough to significantly delay its counter. This single charm upgrade doubles the tempo impact Snoffel provides.

HP and Block charms keep Snoffel alive. Survival is his entire value proposition. A 6 HP Snoffel absorbs two hits before dying instead of one, potentially adding 2–3 more activations and the Snow those activations apply.

Good Synergy Cards & Charms

  • Wallop — Snoffel's zone Snow guarantees Wallop's +8 bonus on any target without per-enemy setup; the core duo in Snowdweller Snow builds
  • Yuki — every Snow Snoffel applies to enemies contributes to Yuki's permanent Attack gain; zone Snow accelerates Yuki's scaling dramatically
  • Snoof — Snoof applies targeted Snow 1; combined with Snoffel's zone Snow, specific high-priority targets quickly accumulate 2+ Snow
  • Lumin Ring charm — raises Snoffel's Snow from 1 to 2 per activation; the single highest-value charm upgrade on him
  • HP-up / Block charms — survival is his only constraint; any survivability investment translates directly to more Snow applied
