v0.102.0 Patch Notes Breakdown
Overview
Released on April 3, 2026. The headline features are the foundational implementation of the Badge system and the Ascension 6 rework. On the card side, the main changes are the Blade of Ink rework (an experiment in generating enchanted cards) and the Borrowed Time rework. On the enemy side, Doormaker and Squirming Mass were buffed.
New Features
Badge System
A record system displayed at the end of a run. It tracks events during the run such as defeating a boss without taking damage, speed clears, and Easter egg discoveries. Currently it is only shown at the end of a run, but it will also appear in the run history and stats screens in the future.
Ascension 6 Rework
Changed from "Gloom" (fewer Rest Sites) to "Inflation" (higher card removal cost).
- Card removal at the Merchant now starts at 100 gold
- Each removal raises the cost by 50 gold instead of 25
Developer comment: Letting Ascension affect map generation was a failed experiment. Compared to the old "Gloom," this will have a much more noticeable impact.
Card Changes
Silent
Blade of Ink: Reworked. Changed from "Gain 2(3) Strength whenever you attack (until end of turn)" to "Add 2(3) Ink Knives to your hand." A new enchantment, "Inky," is also added: "This card deals 2 more damage and applies 1 Weak." An experiment in generating enchanted cards during combat.

Necrobinder
Borrowed Time: Reworked. Changed from "Cost 0 / Apply 3 Doom / Gain 1(2) Energy" to "Cost 1 / Gain 4(6) Energy / Cards cost +1 this turn."
Developer comment: It synergizes especially well with high-cost cards like Reap and Entomb.

Relic Changes
- Historical Tutorial: X-cost card copies now use the current Energy amount as the X value
Enemy Changes
Doormaker Buffed
The "Grasp" turn is now a 20(23) damage attack. The Power has been reworked to "Lose 1 Energy whenever you play a card." The whole fight is now much more tense.
Developer comment: The old "Grasp" turn lacked impact and made the fight too easy. The new version demands a difficult decision every turn.
Squirming Mass Buffed
Now attacks every turn, and its damage is increased.
Nonupepe
The Fur Coat effect has been buffed to also apply to replenished Axemachines and enemies that join mid-combat.

- Mushroom Craze: "Ripe Mushroom" upgraded card count nerfed from 3 to 2
- Soggy Scriptorium: Prickly Sponge price reduced from 155 to 99, Tentacle Quill price reduced from 65 to 55
- Whispering Hollow: "Trade" cost reduced from 50 to 35±9
