Patch Notes v0.103.2
Overview
Released on April 17, 2026. This major update merges all beta branch changes from v0.100.0 through v0.103.1 into the main branch. It includes 5 new Neow Relics, the Badge system, a leaderboard revamp, card balance tuning for every character, enemy reworks, and more.
General Changes
- Ascension 6 reworked: "Gloom" (fewer Rest Sites) -> "Inflation" (higher card removal cost at the Merchant)
- All shop Relic prices reduced by 25 gold. Gold-generating Relics no longer appear in shops
- Map generation improved for more consistent layouts
- If a retired card is in your deck when you resume a run, it is now replaced with a substitute status card (Draw 1 card. Remove from deck. Exude)
Ancients (Neow Relics)
Neow now offers 5 new Relics:
- Heavy Tablet: Choose 1 of 3 Rare cards to add to your deck. Adds 1 Wound to your deck
- Neow's Talisman: Upgrade 1 Strike and 1 Defend
- Neow's Bones: Gain 2 random Neow Relics. Adds 1 Curse to your deck
- Potion Belt: Gain 1 additional potion slot and 2 random potions
- Flying Boots: Ignore map paths and choose your next room (up to 3 times)
Ironclad
- New card "Not Yet Dead" added: Rare - Skill - Cost 2 - Heal 10(13) HP. Exude
- Grapple retired
- Dominate, Expect a Fight, Spite, and Stoke reworked
- Numerous buffs, nerfs, and rarity changes aimed at bolstering survivability and Exude synergies
Silent
- Blade of Ink rework: now generates Shivs with "Inky". The Inky effect adds 2 damage and applies 1 Weak
- Acrobatics rarity changed from Common to Uncommon (aligning it with Skim, Analyze, Glimmer, and Burning Pact)
- Goal: reduce the dominance of Shiv builds while preserving the satisfying playstyle
- Several other buffs and nerfs
Regent
- Arsenal rework: grants Strength based on cards created in general, not the number of Colorless cards played
- Regalite Relic change: grants Block for any card creation, not just Colorless cards
- More buffs than other characters, responding to feedback that Regent felt underpowered
Necrobinder
- Borrowed Time rework: "Uncommon - Cost 0 - Skill - Apply 3 Doom to yourself. Gain 1(2) Energy" -> "Uncommon - Cost 1 - Skill - Gain 4(6) Energy. Cards cost 1 more this turn"
- Tuned to synergize especially well with high-cost cards like Reap and Entomb
- Several other buffs and nerfs
Defect
Defect received the fewest changes of any character, just a few minor buffs and nerfs.
Colorless, Relics, and Potions
- Hidden Gems card reworked
- Pendulum Relic reworked
- Various Colorless cards, Relics, and potions received buffs, nerfs, and rarity changes
- Event choices and spawn conditions tuned
Enemy Changes
- Squirming Mass nerf
- Major Doormaker rework: damage numbers nerfed, debuff application removed, Strength gains reduced
- Various other enemy buffs and nerfs
Art Updates
Official visuals added to many cards, Relics, enemies, and the Nonupepe Ancient. New enemy animations and VFX for character techniques. New visuals for card status conditions. Character-specific VFX added to the Energy counter.
UI and UX Improvements
- New Badge system: notable achievements from a run (e.g. defeating a boss without taking damage, speed clears) are displayed at the end of the run
- Leaderboard revamp: only friends' scores are displayed. Scoring is ordered by "Victory," "Badge Count," and "Clear Speed"
- Main branch and beta branch leaderboards are now separate
- Added a Phobia Mode setting
- Raised the in-game feedback tool character limit from 500 to 8000
- Disabled Achievement and Epoch unlocks in Daily and Custom runs
- Various controller support improvements
Text Fixes
Card, Relic, potion, and Power descriptions have been revised for clarity. For example, the "Bottled Fairy" potion description now clarifies that it only triggers when HP reaches 0, and not on other causes of death.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the "Fatal Error" issue with Steam cloud sync
- Fixed multiple crashes, softlocks, and the black screen on launch
- Fixed numerous gameplay bugs, including issues with the Whispering Earrings Relic
- Fixed various navigation issues on controller
- Fixed multiplayer gameplay issues, state desyncs, and the "Error 5008" disconnection issue
