Block normally evaporates each turn, but Sturdy Clamp carries up to 10 Block into the next turn. Surplus Block on a defensive turn no longer goes to waste, massively improving cross-turn resource efficiency. Especially against enemies with intermittent attacks, you can stockpile Block during safe turns to soak damage on attack turns.
