Beyond 234 HP, Soul Nexus's kit — 29-damage Soul Burn, life-stealing Drain Life, and multi-hit Maelstrom — is uniformly vicious. Drain Life especially turns your damage back into its HP, so underpowered decks can fight forever in a stalemate.

Soul Burn's 29 is the top threat. Maelstrom 6×multi racks up huge total damage when Block is thin. Drain Life is the nastiest move — it both hits and heals, negating your damage.

• Soul Burn's 29 is nearly lethal. When you see the intent, pour everything into Block. Across a long 234-HP fight this arrives multiple times — reliable Block generation is mandatory.
• Drain Life is the real problem. 18 damage + equal self-heal means unblocked hits cost you and undo your progress. Don't skip Block on Drain Life turns.
• Maelstrom 6×multi can total 30+. Never let Block slip to zero on any turn.
• 234 HP is huge for an elite. Without scaling, you can't out-pace Drain Life's healing. Sustained damage beating the heal is the win condition.
• Poison is not reverted by Drain Life — Poison characters have a massive edge.

• Ironclad: Stack Strength to outpace Drain Life. Balancing with Block is the hard part.
• Silent: Poison chips reliably and cannot be healed back. Layered Poison guarantees a kill. Use Weak against Soul Burn.
• Defect: Frost for Soul Burn, Dark for burst. Frost + Dark is ideal.
• Necrobinder: Minion damage on top of yours beats Drain Life's healing. A minion meat-shield for Soul Burn is even better.
• Regent: Power scaling for the back half. Block first, stack powers, then close.
