Basic Info

A high-HP elite at 200. Puts out heavy damage every turn with varied attacks, but Spark of Life grants you Energy when you attack it — the more aggressive you play, the more cards you can pump. After Pulsate buffs, damage spikes hard, so rushing the kill before the buff lands is the most stable plan.

Every action hits hard: Jab 22, Whirlwind 9x multi, Radiate 16. When Pulsate buffs land, all subsequent damage inflates further.

Strategy

  • Pulsate massively boosts damage. When Pulsate telegraphs, dump everything into offense that turn and avoid drawing out the fight post-buff.
  • Spark of Life grants Energy, so attacking lets you play more cards. Capitalize on the Energy bonus to swing hard and rush the kill.
  • Jab's 22 damage is brutal from turn one. When that intent shows, prioritize Block.
  • Whirlwind's 9x multi piles up. Taking it under Vulnerable is lethal. Block hard if Vulnerable is active.
  • Chewing through 200 HP takes time, but burning through the Spark of Life Energy makes it surprisingly brisk. Don't waste the Energy.
  • Pre-buff rush is ideal. If it doesn't work, pivot to defense and stack reliable Block post-buff.

Character-Specific Counterplay

  • Ironclad: High damage to rush the 200 HP. Bonus Energy means extra card plays, letting you lean fully into offense.
  • Silent: Steady Poison chip damage creates a feedback loop with the Energy bonus for more Poison stacks. Stack lethal Poison before the buff.
  • Defect: Damage from both Orbs and card plays. Energy bonus accelerates Orb manipulation too.
  • Necrobinder: If minion attacks also proc Energy, that's a huge swing. Lean on minion deployment for volume.
  • Regent: Extra Energy makes multi-Power setups easy. Accelerate the setup to complete your damage engine before Pulsate.
