Act 1 Boss Basics

You will be fighting Act 1 bosses with your starter deck plus a handful of new cards. Solid fundamentals are enough to beat them, but a sloppy deck will struggle.

Shared Strategy Points

  • Lean on potions: Keep one or two for the Act 1 boss
  • Play Powers on turn 1 if you can afford to set up
  • Read the intent and swing between offense and defense accordingly
  • Cards that apply Vulnerable or Weak are reliably useful

Per-Character Boss Tips

Ironclad

  • Stack Strength buffs early
  • Flame Barrier punishes multi-hit bosses
  • Offering and other draw cards keep your hand full

Silent

  • Stack Poison for persistent damage
  • Footwork lifts your Block floor
  • Backflip is a stable draw plus Block play

Defect

  • Frost Orbs generate Block
  • Raise Focus to amplify Orb effects
  • Lightning gives you steady damage

Necrobinder

  • Use minions as a shield while you push damage
  • Time your sacrifice effects deliberately
  • Balance summoning against direct attacks

Regent

  • Optimize when you switch forms
  • Absorb the big boss moves in defensive form
  • Funnel damage through offensive form
