Rating
Peppernut Charm swaps the delivery of Shell and Spice. Whenever the equipped card would receive Shell, it receives Spice instead, and vice versa. This creates two distinct use cases depending on which direction the conversion is more valuable.
The more commonly powerful direction is Shell-to-Spice. If your deck has cards that provide Shell buffs to allies, attaching Peppernut to one Companion converts all incoming Shell into Spice (Attack). Your defensive support becomes an offensive scaling engine with no additional card needed.
The Spice-to-Shell direction is useful in compositions where a high-Spice output card feeds another Companion but you want that Companion to be more defensive than offensive. Incoming attack buffs become armor instead.
B tier overall. In the right synergy context — particularly heavy Shell-providing decks — it climbs to A tier for the equipped card.
How to Use
Identify which currency (Shell or Spice) your deck generates more of, then place Peppernut on a card that would benefit from receiving the other. In Shell-heavy decks, put Peppernut on your main attacker. In Spice-heavy decks, put Peppernut on your tank.
Synergy
- Shell-applying allies: feed the Peppernut holder with converted Spice to stack Attack
- Spice-applying allies: feed the Peppernut holder with converted Shell to stack defense
- Lumin Ring: amplifies the received Spice or Shell quantity
- Spice Charm (スパイスのお守り): triggers when hit, and if converted to Shell creates a defensive feedback loop
