Sun Charm reduces the equipped card's Counter by 1. Counter directly controls action frequency — lower Counter means the card acts more often. This is one of the highest-leverage changes you can make to any card.
The mathematical impact is strongest at the boundary values. Counter 2 becoming Counter 1 doubles the card's action frequency. Counter 3 becoming Counter 2 is a 50% increase. Counter 5 becoming Counter 4 is a 25% increase. The charm is best on cards in the Counter 2-4 range.
Every action-per-turn increase translates to more damage, more status application, more healing, or more of whatever that card does. Sun Charm is inherently tied to the quality of the card it enhances — on a strong card it becomes an amplifier; on a weak card it merely accelerates weakness.
A tier approaching S tier. One of the best charms in the game when placed on the right card.
How to Use
Prioritize on your most impactful Companion. Strong attackers act more often and deal more damage. Strong status appliers accumulate Shroom or Snow faster. Strong healers restore more HP per combat.
Counter 2-to-1 transformations are the highest priority. Getting a Companion to Counter 1 means it fires every single turn without exception.
Multiple Sun Charms can stack. Two copies on a Counter 3 card reduces it to Counter 1 for perpetual action.
Synergy
- ゲキド Companions: more frequent actions × more hits per action = explosive total damage
- バラージ Companions: area attacks fire more often, faster front-row clearing
- Shroom or Snow applicators: status stacks accumulate at an accelerated rate
- Healing Companions: more heals per combat, dramatically extending party survivability
- Any powerful-effect Companion: Sun Charm multiplies the value of whatever the card already does
