Big Berry
Basic Info
- Tribe: Snowdwellers
- Attack: 5
- HP: 10
- Counter: 4
- Effect: On kill, restore 2 HP to self and all allies in his row
Rating
A-tier front-line anchor. Big Berry is the tankiest standard companion in Snowdwellers with 10 HP, and his kill trigger heals the entire row by 2. The combination makes him self-sustaining over multi-kill fights: each enemy he finishes refills him and his row allies, keeping the front line healthy for longer. The community puts him directly: "The wall bros. Very solid for enabling healing/shell strategies."
His 5 Attack at Counter 4 lets him actually kill enemies rather than just surviving them, which activates his heal reliably. In multi-wave fights with many smaller enemies, Big Berry's kill-heal loop can keep the front row at near-full HP throughout. Paired with Tusk's Teeth aura (enemies take 3 damage when hitting any ally), Big Berry becomes a damage engine as well as a tank — he takes hits, Teeth fires back, then he kills something and heals.
How to Use
Front row, always. Big Berry's 10 HP and kill-heal are designed for the front line. Allies behind him benefit from the row heal as well, making his positioning choice straightforward.
The primary upgrades are HP charms (extend his tanking further) and healing supplements (Berry Blades, Truffle, Earth Berry items). More HP means more kills before dying, which means more heal triggers. Lumin Ring on Big Berry pushes the kill-heal from 2 HP to 3 HP to the whole row — at 5 kills in a fight, that's 15 total HP difference in the row.
His 5 Attack is sufficient to finish weakened enemies, but he benefits from Attack support when enemies have more HP. The ideal play pattern: Snow or Teeth soften enemies to kill range, Big Berry finishes them and heals the row.
Advanced Techniques
Big Berry + Tusk = passive damage and active healing simultaneously. Tusk gives all allies Teeth 3. Every time an enemy hits Big Berry, that enemy takes 3 back. Each enemy Big Berry kills restores 2 HP to the row. The two cards together turn the front-line into a combination damage engine and health engine.
Lumin Ring doubles the row heal value. With Lumin Ring, each kill heals 3 HP instead of 2. Over a 5-kill fight, that's 15 HP healed to Big Berry and his row allies, making the row nearly unkillable against moderate enemies.
Position vulnerable allies in Big Berry's row. His kill-heal specifically targets his own row. If Yuki or another fragile unit is in the same row, they receive the heal each time Big Berry kills.
Good Synergy Cards & Charms
- Tusk — adds 3 Teeth to all allies; Big Berry tanks hits, Teeth fires back, then Big Berry kills and heals
- Lumin Ring — upgrades kill-heal from 2 HP to 3 HP; over a full fight, meaningful HP differential
- HP-up charms — more HP extends his tanking window and total kill opportunities, generating more heals
- Kernel — Kernel's Shell-on-hit supports Chompom or Yuki behind Big Berry while Big Berry handles the front
- Berry Blade / Truffle — supplementary healing that works alongside Big Berry's kill-heal to keep the row full
