B-tier high-durability tank with a double-edged passive. Folby has 12 HP — one of the highest base HP values among Clunkmasters companions — and 3 Attack at Counter 4 for steady direct damage. The passive: every time Folby is hit, one random card from your hand is Trashed (destroyed, removed from the game permanently). Trash is usually bad when applied to useful cards, but in Clunkmasters runs where your hand accumulates Junk (low-value cards added by enemies or mechanics), Folby's passive can turn into a Junk-removal engine that improves hand quality while she tanks.
The risk is entirely hand-composition dependent. Folby tanking 6 hits while your hand contains only Junk = 6 Junk removed, excellent. Folby tanking 6 hits while your hand contains key items and companions you need = 6 wasted resources. B-tier reflects this variance — she's a reliable frontline presence who needs hand management to deliver her ceiling.
How to Use
Front row for Folby. Her 12 HP absorbs significant punishment before she falls, giving your back-row companions time to charge their counters and fire repeatedly. 3 Attack at Counter 4 contributes respectable self-timer damage alongside her tanking role.
Manage your hand composition actively when Folby is in the front row. Before Folby enters a fight with multiple attackers, consume or play any important cards that can't be replaced. Items already played can't be Trashed. Keeping only Junk or low-priority cards in hand while Folby tanks converts her weakness into a passive Junk-filtering system.
Junkhead and Scaven synergize directly with Trash mechanics. Cards that benefit from trashing — or that generate replacement draws when cards leave hand — offset Folby's passive cost. Scaven in particular can deal damage proportional to how many cards were Trashed, converting Folby's lost cards into Scaven bonus damage.
Advanced Techniques
Folby as Junk sink. In Clunkmasters runs where Junk accumulates faster than you can play it (Needle + Junk generation), Folby's hits remove Junk permanently from your hand during combat. Each Folby hit = one Junk removed if your hand is primarily Junk. This converts what would otherwise be wasted draw slots into hand quality improvement.
Bom Barrel timing. Bom Barrel shares the Trash keyword and can be coordinated with Folby's tanking presence. Placing Bom Barrel while Folby is being hit creates a situation where both Trash and Bom damage contribute simultaneously — Folby clears Junk, Bom Barrel threatens the enemy board.
Good Synergy Cards & Charms
- Scaven — converts Trashed cards into bonus damage; each card Folby's passive trashes contributes to Scaven's scaling
- Junkhead — Trash-themed companion; in a Trash-focused run, Junkhead benefits from the Trash volume Folby generates from hits
- HP-up charms — 12 HP extended further means more hits absorbed before Folby falls; directly increases total tanking value
- Needle — Junk generation from Needle fills your hand with Trash targets; Folby's hits remove them, creating a Junk circulation loop
- Healing items — keeping Folby above 0 HP extends her tanking duration and Junk-clearing contribution per fight
