Summon a Bootleg copy of a random enemy

Spoof

Basic Info

  • Tribe: Shademancers
  • Attack: 5
  • HP: 2
  • Counter: 0
  • Effect: A random enemy ニセモノ copy summon

Rating

A-tier high-variance enemy copier with a 5-Attack personal attack. Spoof summons a Bootleg (weakened) copy of a random enemy as an ally when activated — Counter 0 means he fires as a Reaction or immediately. The summoned Bootleg fights alongside your party for the rest of the fight. 5 Attack with Counter 0 means Spoof also counterattacks or fires his physical attack when triggered, dealing substantial damage directly.

The Bootleg mechanic has high variance: copying a powerful boss elite or a high-Attack enemy gives you a strong temporary ally; copying a weak 1-HP filler enemy adds minimal board presence. In fights with strong elite enemies or boss phases with high-Attack minions, Spoof's Bootleg can turn a disadvantaged fight into a 2-front assault.

HP 2 is extremely fragile — one moderate enemy attack kills Spoof. Back-row protection is mandatory. Van Jun's aura applies +2 Attack and +2 HP to summoned units, which affects Spoof's Bootleg summons — Van Jun + Spoof means each summoned Bootleg enters with better stats than the raw copy would suggest.

How to Use

Back row exclusively. HP 2 cannot survive front-row targeting. Spoof's 5 Attack combined with Counter 0 provides high-damage reactive attacks, but his value is primarily the Bootleg summon rather than direct damage. Protect him at all costs — if Spoof dies, the Bootleg summoning stops.

HP investment on Spoof (even +2 HP) extends his survival meaningfully. The difference between HP 2 and HP 4 is often the difference between dying on turn 1 and surviving through the first enemy activation cycle.

Van Jun in the same run: Van Jun's passive applies +2 Attack / +2 HP to summoned units. Every Bootleg Spoof summons receives this buff on entry. A summoned Bootleg of a weak enemy becomes a moderately capable ally instead of a useless 1-HP token.

Dregg in a different row: when Spoof's Bootleg summoned allies die (they're fragile), Dregg gains +2 permanent Attack from each ally-death event. Spoof's disposable Bootleg copies effectively feed Dregg's scaling.

Advanced Techniques

Van Jun + Spoof for Bootleg buff. Van Jun applies +2/+2 to all summoned units on entry. Each Spoof-summoned Bootleg enters with 2 more Attack and 2 more HP than the raw enemy copy. Over multiple Spoof activations, Van Jun substantially improves Bootleg quality floor — even weak enemy copies become useful allies.

Dregg feeding from Bootleg deaths. Bootleg copies are fragile and die frequently. Each Bootleg death triggers Dregg's +2 Attack gain. If Spoof generates 3 Bootleg allies per fight and all die to enemy attacks, Dregg gains +6 Attack across the fight. The Bootleg copies become Dregg fuel.

Good Synergy Cards & Charms

  • Van Jun — each Bootleg summoned receives +2 Attack / +2 HP; converts weak enemy copies into functional allies
  • Dregg — ally deaths from Bootleg copies trigger Dregg's +2 Attack; Bootleg disposability directly feeds Dregg scaling
  • HP-up charms on Spoof — HP 2 dies to nearly anything; even +2 HP dramatically extends Spoof's summon uptime
  • Healing items on Spoof — keeping Spoof alive through the fight allows multiple Bootleg summons across activations
