A-tier sacrifice fuel engine. The Baker generates a Skull Muffin each time he's triggered (Spark fires when an item is played). Skull Muffins are sacrifice-ready items: sacrifice them to give Dregg +2 Attack, give Devicro their Attack value, or trigger any ally-death effect. In runs without Chikichi, The Baker is how sacrifice-axis Shademancer decks sustain their sacrifice income without exhausting their companion roster.

At 9 HP, he's the tankiest Shademancer companion, which matters because keeping him alive perpetuates the Skull Muffin supply. His 4 Attack also makes him a functional attacker at Counter 0 (Spark), so he contributes both offense and resource generation.

Baker's Spark triggers when you play an item. Each item use generates one Skull Muffin in your hand, which you then sacrifice or use as needed. In fast-paced fights where you're burning items regularly (Spice, heals, charms applied during combat), Baker can generate 2–3 Skull Muffins per fight automatically.

The sacrifice pipeline: play an item → Baker generates Skull Muffin → sacrifice Skull Muffin → Dregg gains +2 Attack → sacrifice any Shade from Chikichi → Dregg gains +2 more. Baker sustains the front half of that chain when Chikichi isn't producing fast enough.

Front-row Baker is recommended. 9 HP means he can absorb significant punishment without going down, and his Spark fires independently of his position. He's not a fragile backline support — he's a durable tank who also generates sacrifice fuel.

Baker + Nom Stompy. Each Skull Muffin sacrificed (destroying it) counts as a card destruction event for Nom Stompy's counter reduction. Generating 2 Skull Muffins and sacrificing both can meaningfully advance Nom Stompy's activation.

Sacrifice Skull Muffins at maximum Devicro value. Skull Muffin has a base Attack value. If you first use Spice on a high-Attack ally, then sacrifice them — that's Devicro fuel. But for Baker's Skull Muffins specifically, sacrifice them when Devicro's scaling needs a bump rather than immediately.

Groff + Baker. When any ally is sacrificed, Groff fires an attack. Each Baker-generated Skull Muffin sacrifice triggers Groff, generating free attacks from every sacrifice event.
