Yuki

Whenever anything is Snow'd, gain equal Attack

Yuki

Basic Info

  • Tribe: Snowdwellers
  • Attack: 1
  • HP: 1
  • Counter: 4
  • Effect: Whenever anything is Snow'd, gain equal Attack

Rating

S-tier, no question. Yuki's damage ceiling is among the highest in the game. She gains permanent Attack equal to the Snow amount applied — to anything, ally or enemy alike — and with proper Snow support she routinely hits double-digit Attack before the Act 2 boss. Her only weakness is 1 HP, which demands constant protection, but the scaling payoff is so enormous she's a cornerstone of virtually every Snowdweller build.

How to Use

Yuki's operating manual has one rule: keep her alive. With just 1 HP, any unblocked hit kills her instantly. Always place her in the back row, put high-HP units or Clunkers up front, and apply Shell buffs to her proactively. Kernel is a natural pairing — Shell-stacking every turn lets Yuki function as a genuine combat piece without the constant threat of one-shot death.

Once protected, flood the board with Snow. Items like Snowball chip away steadily, but Snoffel — who applies Snow to all enemies simultaneously — can grant +4 to +8 Attack in a single trigger when several enemies are on the board. Snow Cake hands over 10 Snow in one item use: instant +10 Attack. By Act 2, reaching 15–20+ Attack with Yuki is standard, and 40+ is achievable by late Act 3.

Counter 4 is on the slower side, but when Attack is high enough a single swing clears most threats. Use the downtime between triggers to stack more Snow.

Advanced Techniques

Mind enemies with Teeth. Yuki attacking a Teeth-bearing enemy and failing to kill it in one shot causes instant death from the retaliation. Smackback enemies carry the same risk. Always check whether a one-shot is realistic before committing.

Snoffel is the best Yuki enabler. With six enemies on the board, one Snoffel trigger can grant +6 or more Attack. Snow Cake stacks on top: combined, a single turn can swing Yuki's Attack by +15. Build around this pair whenever the opportunity appears.

Snow-resistant enemies cap received Snow at 1, blocking Yuki's growth to +1 per hit regardless of how much Snow you pile on. Further Snow on an already-resisting enemy doesn't apply, so Yuki's Attack gain stops entirely. The final-battle leader copy carries Snow Resist — plan a secondary damage source for that fight.

Frenzy or Barrage multiplies everything. Once Attack is in the double digits, adding Frenzy via Nomlin Charm, Blaze Tea, or Pomegranate Charm creates explosive, fight-ending burst. This is the natural endgame for a Yuki-centric build.

Cosmetic note: Yuki's snowball artwork grows progressively larger as her Attack climbs. At 40+ Attack, the snowball takes up nearly the entire card, hiding Yuki herself behind it.

Good Synergy Cards & Charms

  • Snowball — core Snow applier, steadily grows Yuki's Attack with no effort
  • Snoffel — applies Snow to all enemies at once; +6 or more Attack per trigger is common, the strongest Yuki synergy in the game
  • Snow Cake — applies 10 Snow in one shot, instantly +10 Attack for Yuki
  • Wallop — deals bonus damage to Snowed enemies; Yuki stacks Snow, Wallop converts it to burst, forming a two-pronged offence
  • Kernel / Shell appliers — mandatory for keeping 1-HP Yuki on the board at all
  • Counter-reduction charms — shorten Counter 4 so Yuki's high Attack lands more often
  • HP-up charms — even +1 HP dramatically improves Yuki's survivability
  • Nomlin Charm / Blaze Tea / Pomegranate Charm — add Frenzy or Barrage and turn Yuki's high Attack into a game-ender
