Necrobinder Doom Stacking Build
Overview
The Doom Stacking Build is the aggressive counterpart to Passive Doom Scaling — rather than waiting for Doom to accumulate slowly, this build uses high-volume and AoE Doom sources to stack Doom rapidly across all enemies. When multiple enemies hit their Doom threshold in the same turn, they all die simultaneously at turn end. This mass-execution is especially dominant in corridor fights and Elite rooms with multiple targets.
Key Cards
- Scourge: The primary AoE Doom applier — hits all enemies with a burst of Doom stacks in a single play, the fastest way to push multiple targets toward the threshold simultaneously.
- Countdown: Power that adds Doom to all enemies at turn start; once active, every turn brings every enemy closer to death passively.
- Call of the Void: Additional passive Doom Power; stacking both Countdown and Call of the Void doubles the per-turn accumulation rate.
- End of Days: High-burst Doom applicator for single targets or as a finishing push when one enemy is near threshold.
- Putrefy: Skill that applies Doom or amplifies existing Doom stacks; used to spike a specific target that is lagging behind.
- Negative Pulse: Skill that applies Doom to all enemies or reduces their defenses, accelerating multi-target kill timelines.
- Grave Warden: Provides Block while the Doom engine operates, surviving the turns before thresholds are reached.
Key Relics
- Funerary Mask: Triggers when any enemy dies from Doom — in multi-enemy rooms where several die simultaneously, this relic activates multiple times per event.
- Undying Sigil: Sustains HP through early turns before Doom reaches lethal levels, especially in Act 2 and 3 where enemies hit harder.
- Bone Flute: Passive HP recovery that compensates for the damage taken while Doom accumulates across turns.
Strategy
- Get both Countdown and Call of the Void online before Act 2 Elite rooms — without dual passive Doom sources, stacks accumulate too slowly for multi-target execution.
- Open each combat by playing Scourge or Negative Pulse to apply Doom to all enemies at once, then let passive sources compound from there.
- Use Block cards each turn to survive; track each enemy's current HP against their current Doom count to know when they will die.
- When one enemy's Doom is close to threshold but others are not, use Putrefy or End of Days to push the lagging targets rather than wasting turns on the nearly-dead one.
- In Boss fights with a single target, supplement Doom with direct damage — waiting for passive Doom alone against a Boss with 200+ HP takes too many turns.
Pick Priority
- Highest: Countdown, Call of the Void (passive AoE Doom per turn)
- High: Scourge, Negative Pulse (burst AoE Doom application)
- Medium: End of Days, Putrefy (single-target Doom finishers)
- Low: Cards that apply Doom to only one target per play when AoE options are available
Tips
- Multi-enemy rooms are this build's prime environment — opening with Scourge on turn 1 instantly applies Doom to all targets, and passive sources compound from there.
- Doom threshold is checked against current HP at end of turn, not the turn Doom is applied. Track enemy HP carefully; healing enemies can reset your threshold expectations.
- Some enemies in Act 3 have Doom resistance or Artifact — carry a throwaway debuff to pop Artifact before applying Doom.
- Do not neglect Block entirely in pursuit of maximum Doom speed; dying on turn 3 before Doom fires accomplishes nothing.
