Phantasmal Gardener

• Passive: Timid 7 — gains 7 Block when first hit each turn

An elite that appears as a swarm of phantom bugs. Individually only 28-32 HP, but the sheer number plus Timid's auto-Block gimmick plus the Enlarge buff combine into a real threat. The key is reading turn-1 intents and killing the buff-casting unit first.

Individual damage is low, but Enlarge buffs spike the whole group's output. Thrash's 1x multi-hit also scales nastily with Strength.

• Kill the unit telegraphing Enlarge on turn 1 first. If the party-wide buff lands, the fight gets out of hand. Read intents and Focus fire on the Enlarge-caster.
• Timid grants 7 Block on the first hit per turn. Strip that Block with a Weak attack, then deal real damage with follow-ups.
• AoE attacks counter Timid's auto-Block well. AoE burns Block off every unit at once, then you can pick them off individually.
• Their count adds up to heavy cumulative damage. Killing them one at a time quickly is the best defense.
• Thrash's 1x multi is trivial at baseline but dangerous post-Enlarge. Whether you allow the buff determines the fight's difficulty.

• Ironclad: AoE strips the Timid Block, then pick them off individually. Whirlwind is excellent. Focus Enlarge-casters first.
• Silent: Any cards that spread Poison to all hit everything at once and ignore Timid Block. Poison is the best answer to Timid.
• Defect: Lightning Orb's random AoE strips Block and chips HP simultaneously.
• Necrobinder: Use minions for a numbers advantage while prioritizing Enlarge-casters.
• Regent: AoE damage Powers strip Block while ticking the group down. After Powers deploy, it's practically autopilot.
