Beginner Wand Building Tips

Spell order matters

In non-shuffle wands, spells are read left-to-right. Modifiers apply to the next projectile, so place "Homing" before "Spark Bolt", not after.

Keep a water flask

Always carry a water flask. It extinguishes fire, washes away toxins, and enables electric chain attacks when combined with lightning spells.

Prioritize Explosion Immunity

Self-inflicted explosion damage is the #1 cause of death. When you see the "Protection: Explosion" perk, take it immediately.

Spend time in Holy Mountain

Holy Mountain is a safe zone. Spend at least 5 minutes optimizing your wands — finding the right spell combos is key to clearing the game.

Use physical kicks

Kicking physics objects like lanterns, barrels, and rocks deals high damage to enemies — a free attack that conserves wand charges.

Shuffle wand behavior

Shuffle-ON wands fire spells in random order. They're easy to use with multiple strong spells loaded, but precise combos are harder to achieve.

Wand Stats

Shuffle / Shuffle

When ON, spells are drawn randomly from slots. When OFF, they are cast in order from left to right.

Spells/Cast / Spells/Cast

Number of spells cast simultaneously per firing action.

Cast Delay / Cast Delay s

Waiting time (seconds) after each cast block. Stacks with individual spell cast delays.

Recharge Time / Recharge Time s

Time (seconds) to wait after completing a full cycle before starting the next one.

Mana Max / Mana Max

Maximum amount of mana that can be stored. Insufficient mana prevents spell casting.

Mana Charge Speed / Mana Charge Speed /s

Amount of mana recovered per second. High values needed for frequent high-cost spells.

Capacity / Capacity

Number of spell slots the wand can hold. More slots allow more complex spell combinations.

Spread / Spread °

Angular variation (degrees) of fired spells. 0° is perfectly straight; higher values scatter.

How the Cast Cycle Works

With Shuffle OFF, wands work in this sequence:

  1. Draw Spells/Cast spells from the left
  2. Fire them after Cast Delay seconds
  3. Repeat for remaining slots...
  4. After all slots, wait Recharge Time
  5. Back to step 1
