Rating

Shining Orb is a Rare relic that grants extra Energy for Elite fights. Elites are significantly harder than regular combat, and the bonus Energy on turn 1 lets you drop a strong card for a huge advantage. Decks that want to land Powers or buffs on turn 1 benefit most, and the extra Energy swings the flow of the fight. It pairs very well with aggressive Elite-hunting routes.
