Rating
S-tier damage carry with sacrifice scaling. Dregg enters play when the Egg companion is destroyed, arriving with x3 Frenzy — attacking 3 times per Counter 3 activation for a base of 6 damage per turn. He also gains +2 Attack permanently each time any ally is sacrificed or defeated, meaning the Chikichi chain converts every sacrifice link into +2 Attack on Dregg. A full Chikichi chain under Dregg (5 triggers) gives him +10 Attack on top of base — at x3 Frenzy, that's 36 damage per activation before any charm investment.
The Summoned keyword means he loses 1 HP per activation. At 4 HP, he burns out in 4 activations without healing. The design logic: he comes in, applies massive burst damage, and dies. The sacrifice pipeline brings more allies (and more Dregg triggers) to sustain the pressure.
How to Use
Dregg requires Egg in your run and sacrifice sources to reach his ceiling. Draft Egg early, then collect sacrifice triggers (Skull Mist Tea, Chikichi). When Egg dies — whether by enemy or intentional sacrifice — Dregg appears at full stats and immediately begins accumulating Attack from subsequent sacrifices.
Counter 3 is fast. With x3 Frenzy at 6+ Attack, Dregg activates every 3 turns for 18+ damage. Each sacrifice between activations grows the next hit. In mid-Act 2 fights, Dregg routinely deals 30–40+ damage per activation if the sacrifice chain is intact.
The Summoned HP drain is the clock. He lives for 4 activations at most without healing intervention. Use him to burst a fight within that window — don't expect him to survive full fights by default.
Advanced Techniques
Crown Egg, not Dregg. Egg on the board from fight start means Dregg can enter play earlier. Once Dregg is summoned, Crown status transfers to him on re-entry.
Chikichi chain doubles as Dregg's scaling source. Sacrifice Chikichi → Dregg gains +2. Chikani sacrificed → +2 more. The chain is both a board state generator and Dregg's Attack income. One Chikichi card can push Dregg to 12+ Attack before the fight's midpoint.
HP-up charms on Dregg extend his window. Each extra HP point is one more activation before he burns out from Summoned. With 8 HP, he lasts 8 activations — enough to close most Act 3 fights before dying.
Devicro + Dregg together at maximum. Both scale from sacrifices simultaneously. A Chikichi chain under both gives Dregg +10 Attack AND Devicro +10 Attack in parallel, creating two separate high-damage carries from one sacrifice source.
Good Synergy Cards & Charms
- Egg — Dregg's entry point; Egg must be in your run for Dregg to appear
- Chikichi — full chain gives Dregg +10 Attack (+2 per link × 5 links) while also generating Shades for board pressure
- Skull Mist Tea — manually trigger sacrifices to grow Dregg's Attack on demand
- HP-up charms on Dregg — counteract the Summoned HP drain; each extra HP is one more activation window
- Devicro — both scale from the same sacrifice triggers; stack both carries for redundant pressure
