Rating

A high-cost Skill that bundles defence with next-turn acceleration. The delayed payoff is powerful — spending the full turn on Relax results in a well-defended turn followed by an explosive turn with extra cards and Energy. Upgraded, the gains jump to 17 Block, 3 draws, and 3 Energy, making the upgrade a high priority.

How to Use

Play it on a turn when a heavy enemy attack is incoming so the Block absorbs the damage, then use the bonus cards and Energy on the following turn to push out a burst of damage or set up a major play. Because it costs 3, it typically consumes all available Energy on its own; plan accordingly and do not waste remaining hand space. Pairing it with Energy generation sources lets the rest of the hand still contribute on the same turn.

Good Synergies

  • Energy generation cards: reducing the effective 3-cost opens room for additional actions on the same turn
  • Cards that benefit from a large hand: the draw-3 next turn enables playing many cards in sequence, synergising with effects that reward playing multiple cards
  • Block-scaling effects: gaining 15–17 Block in a single play is large enough to trigger or scale any effect that references the amount of Block gained
