Evaluation
The 9F Heavy Rising Uppercut with projectile invulnerability.
Too slow for pure reaction anti-air, but the projectile invul lets Luke go through fireballs while catching jump-ins simultaneously. Also serves as a high-damage combo ender. -33F on block — the riskiest version to have blocked.
How to Use
- Use projectile invul to simultaneously pass through fireballs and anti-air the opponent's jump
- High-damage combo finisher for extra damage when resources allow
- Don't attempt as a pure reaction anti-air — 9F is too slow
How to Counter
- On block: -33F → guaranteed Super Art max punish, no exceptions
- Throw fireballs to bait, then jump simultaneously — threatens both the fireball and a jump-in
- Since this is Luke's riskiest DP to have blocked, read when he's fishing for fireball-escape punishes and respond accordingly
Counter Tips
-33F on block is the highest penalty of any Rising Uppercut version — always hit the max Super Art punish. When you read that Luke is looking for fireball-escape opportunities, either stop throwing fireballs and approach on the ground, or use fireballs to bait the Heavy DP and punish the block.
