Thunder Cradle is C. Viper's back throw. It puts C. Viper at +15F advantage and creates more distance than the forward throw, making sustained pressure slightly harder but still viable.
How to Use
- Space creation: The extra distance compared to High Impulse gives C. Viper a moment to reestablish position before applying okizeme.
- Mix-up variation: Mixing back and forward throws prevents the opponent from reliably choosing an ukemi direction.
- Okizeme: Despite the distance, Drive Rush still closes the gap in time for Burning Kick or Seismic Hammer mix-ups.
How to Counter
- Back throw leaves C. Viper with slightly less pressure potential than forward throw — take the opportunity to reset neutral if possible.
- On in-place recovery, confirm Drive Rush and respond with an OD reversal or Super Art.
- Staying calm and watching for feint cancel follow-ups is the most reliable approach.
